whidbey beach home
Designed on a challenging beach site with poor soil and severe weather, this home was raised above the flood zone to maximize spectacular views and natural light. Durable, low-maintenance materials ensure the design stands up to Whidbey Island’s harsh conditions.
The butterfly roof configuration hides the large number of solar panels.
To address the harsh beach wind and weather, a combination of IPE siding and metal panel siding where used over a robust rainscreen system.
